Nilavali pt.1
short filmwriter / director
June 1948, New Ceylon remains occupied under British rule. Due to deteriorating living conditions under a long drought the Imperial high command have fled the island, leaving an army of mechanised proxies in their place. Water desalination plants are now the most precious commodities on the island leading to rebel factions rising up in direct response to the government’s monopoly over them. The British propaganda machine is in full swing.
Only the remote enclave of Nilaveli remains free.
